Magnesium Chloride hexa hydrate

Magnesium chloride hexahydrate is the hydrated form of magnesium chloride with a formula MgCl2.6H2O. These salts are typical ionic halides, being highly soluble in water. The hydrated magnesium chloride can be extracted from brine or sea water. Magnesium chloride is a mineral supplement used to prevent and treat low amounts of magnesium in the blood and a versatile compound with a number of uses in food preparation, health and personal well-being areas. Magnesium chloride is also used in road care, to synthesize other magnesium compounds, to remove dyes and industrial dye wastes, for the dust control, in the textile production, and as an industrial dye and dye waste remover. Magnesium chloride hexahydrate is used as catalyst for organic synthesis, e.g.

Application of Magnesium Chloride hexahydrate

  • Lower rate of accidents due to the prevention of accidents caused by ice on roads.
  • Simply apply to the roads for anti-icing.
  • Roads with longer service life, due to the reduced loss of material and dust emission.
  • Better health and physical conditions due to a lower impact of dust in suspension.
  • Greater security, visibility and stabilization operations.

Magnesium chloride hexahydrate has been used to prepare renaturation buffer that is employed for the renaturation of denatured peptidoglycan (PGN) hydrolytic enzymes. It may be used as a catalyst in the preparation of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2-(1H)-ones.

Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate is generally immediately available in most volumes. Ultra high purity, high purity, submicron and nanopowder forms may be considered. We also produce Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate Solution. American Elements produces to many standard grades when applicable, including Mil Spec (military grade); ACS, Reagent and Technical Grade; Food, Agricultural and Pharmaceutical Grade; Optical Grade, USP and EP/BP (European Pharmacopoeia/British Pharmacopoeia) and follows applicable ASTM testing standards.
